Victoria Beach's Pirate Tower

Landscape Photography

What an incredible place! Odd and unusual, considering its location and purpose, the Victoria Beach Pirate Tower is a 60-foot-tall structure that stands at the base of a cliff on Victoria Beach in Laguna Beach, California. Built in 1926 for the family of William E. Brown, the tower served as a unique passageway, providing access from the cliff-top house down to the beach below. This hidden gem is a must-see for those exploring Laguna Beach. To reach the tower, you’ll need to take a stairway located at the intersection of Sunset Terrace and Victoria Drive. Once you head down, turn right and navigate around the rocks to reveal this fascinating structure. The journey itself adds to the adventure, making the discovery of this historic tower even more rewarding.
