Turquoise of June Lake
The June Lake Loop, situated in the Eastern Sierra away from U.S. Route 395, is a stunning destination that offers access to picturesque mountain streams, excellent hiking trails, and four beautiful lakes. June Lake is one of the largest lakes in the area, sitting at an elevation of 7,654 feet and surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Sierra Nevada, including June Mountain. In June, the lake's waters exhibit a beautiful turquoise hue under the clear blue sky. We aimed to capture this vibrant color by photographing the lake in the middle of the day, when the light enhances the lake’s stunning shades. The June Lake Loop provides a perfect setting for both photography and outdoor adventures, showcasing the natural beauty of the Eastern Sierra.
