The Minarets seen from the Minaret Vista
Minaret Vista, located in the Eastern Sierra within Inyo National Forest, stands at an elevation of 9,265 feet above sea level. This vantage point offers breathtaking views of the Ritter Range, renowned for its iconic series of jagged peaks known as the Minarets. The highest of these peaks, Clyde Minaret, reaches an impressive elevation of nearly 12,300 feet. The name "Minarets" was assigned by the California Geographical Survey in 1868, reflecting the unique and striking rock formations in the area. We enjoyed capturing the Minarets bathed in warm morning light, though the experience was tempered by extremely windy and cold conditions. Please note that the photo presented is a cropped version to focus on the stunning details of this dramatic landscape.
