The Lone Cypress

Landscape Photography

The Lone Cypress tree, a native of Monterey, stands along scenic 17-Mile Drive between Cypress Point Club and the Pebble Beach Golf Links. It is one of the most photographed trees in North America, and it has been holding its own against the forces of the Pacific winds for more than 250 years. Several vantage points offer nice views of the tree. We took this photo from the top of the wooden deck located near a parking lot.
