Skull Rock in Joshua Tree National Park
Eerie-looking granite rock formation, touched by forces of erosion, has characteristics of a skull with two eye sockets. It is a trendy spot located in Joshua Tree National Park. The rock sits just right off the road, so no hiking is required to see it, but it can be very crowded. However, the area also provides a nice hiking trail called Skull Rock Trail that gets you away from people to enjoy the beautiful desert landscape and have more photo opportunities.
