Longs Peak reflection in Bear Lake – RMNP

Landscape Photography

Bear Lake, situated at an elevation of 9,449 feet, is the most visited and photographed lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. Surrounded by a lush forest, Bear Lake offers stunning views of Hallett Peak and Flattop Mountain to the west, and Longs Peak to the south. This photo was captured on the north side of Bear Lake, a prime spot for photographing Longs Peak, especially when illuminated by the warm evening sun. The lake’s calm waters create a beautiful reflection of Longs Peak, the tallest mountain in RMNP. Bear Lake is easily accessible by car, with a short walk from the parking lot, making it a convenient location for capturing its picturesque scenery.
