Fall morning in Dallas Divide - San Juan Mountains, Colorado
The Sun Juan Mountain region in Colorado offers fantastic views of beautiful rolling hills covered with colorful foliage and jagged peaks. The Dallas Divide is one of those places that will make you speechless, especially during the fall season when Aspen trees turn gold yellow. Leaves typically begin changing around the middle to late September and end about three weeks later. We visited Sun Juan Mountains in the second week of October, but unfortunately, we missed the peak, and a lot of Aspen trees lost their foliage completely. However, with the fresh snow covering the Mount Sneffels Range, it was still a very rewarding time to experience and photograph this breathtaking location. This place is easily accessible and doesn’t require any hiking.
