Cholla Cactus in Joshua Tree National Park
The Cholla Cactus Garden in Pinto Basin, Joshua Tree National Park, is a fascinating landscape covered with acres of Cholla cacti. This unique area features a delightful loop trail that winds through the field, allowing visitors to easily walk among the cacti and appreciate their diverse shapes and sizes. Although we visited in late fall and missed the blooming season (April through June), the Cholla Cactus Garden still offered a captivating experience. The Chollas, with their intriguing forms and textures, provided a distinct contrast to the park’s rocky desert scenery. We look forward to returning in the spring to witness their blooming and experience the garden in its full glory.
