Sunset Over Sea Stacks at Oregon Coast Trail
This photo was taken from the Oregon Coast Trail and shows off the rugged coastline in the Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor. Two tall sea stacks stand out, their jagged shapes rising from the clear Pacific Ocean. Coastal trees frame the scene; their dark outlines set against the fading sunlight. The photo was taken during golden hour, so warm light mixes with the cool colors of the ocean and rocks. With the sun just behind the sea stacks, you get a dramatic starburst effect that highlights the natural beauty. The soft sunset light brings out the textures in the cliffs and water, balancing the bright sky with the darker forest below. This spot is great for trying out different lighting and compositions. From this high viewpoint, you can use wide or zoom lenses to show the scale of the landscape. The trees in the foreground help frame your shot, and the sun’s position adds extra interest, making it a top place for sunset photos. Keep in mind that the weather can change quickly here, which can add even more mood to your pictures.
